In conjuction to our weekly assignments to this particular subject; Tech of Food processing, we had our so far-the-fourth factory visits; this time to CUB. Carlton- sth- Brewery... house. It was really dreadful at first, I was scheduled the morning group, so had to get up really early at 7.. (considering i slept at 4am the night before).. so yah.. cold and all sleepy.. me n the girls took the tram down and amazingly, we were 1/2 hour early! (which is really funny, cos we are the late-coming-students; not jane though)
the BRew house was sooo cool! This is the cleanest and exclusive factory ive ever seen. Furthermore its located in Zone 1! most factories are like Zone 3... never fails to bore me even before i get there. so i was all excited n happy! especially when we were told that we were gonna get beer tasting at the end of the whole "tour". yes, "tour". sa
dly, we have to do assgn on that. report on the beer processing analysis. but its all good i guess. cos it was so interesting and the multi-tasked tour leader kept repeating herself so much i kinda have done the report there and then up in my mind; somehow. - her name's Ros. haha. "Ross" *giggles*
basically, one of the major components in beer-making is live yeast (sth u avoid if u find that in ur food) and hops (the grossest bitterest ugly smelly PLANT that's grown on earth). The pilot lab leader (apparently my 1st year student mentor) actually gave out these hops for us to smell. the moment my nose was like 10cm away from the jars, i almost puked.
Loved the packaging line; they do fillings of beer bottles at like millions/ hour which is so amazing. At least i think it is. so these guys lined up like "little soldiers" like what stella desribed and uh.. so cute! hauhuaha.
then the good part of all, i get to drink 4 diff samples of beer, 1 light, 1 medium and 2 full strength ones. though 4, i had like 5 or 6 samples, of few mouthful each
*cheat* i mean, fresh from the tap duh... light was good- think its sterling, medium was better! then it comes to barking duck and this beer cum coke which taste so weird i smelt hops. then.. oh, i forgot what are the nx 2 samples i tried. 
Overall, the trip was quite beneficial, though i still have hopes on choco factz ones.. hehe..
ok, that thing sticking out there is my last finger, freaky!
Ah.. oh well.. that trip ended only half a day, which is really GREAT! but only for a while, cos after i buy lunch with my girls, i had to go back home to do my marketing assignment. Another factory analysis. uhhhh... but the good thing is im able to meet up with dah dah. (cos im doing it with him) so u see.. silver lining. (^0^)
well.. because i promised to get lunch for him and it was 1pm by the time i'm done buyin lunch, i kinda rush myself cos i felt bad. it takes me about 1.5 hour to get to his hoz!
here's a funny thing: while waitin fr the tram, lala pressed the tram info button and it says 4 min to go. thinkin ther's probably time to draw some cash frm the ATM, 3 of us crossed the road to queue. Then suddenly Jane told us its ther. Quietly, lala turned around, and ran off. i ran after her. sadly, wrong direction. she ran towards the next tram stop, which is like 2 blocks away. so we had to "sprint" and smartly for jane, she turned the right direction, which is like 2 metres away to the tram stop. *lol*
However, all worn out and still panicky, i still put dah's interest at priority, thinkin how i can ensure he wont go starving waitin for me. hENce explains why i kinda moody at that time... when a little argument went on..
But it was all good, luckily, cos i had a Good loud laugh after watching Friends 4th episode of the 8th series. I totally recommend that. ^0^
However, we spent the whole day doing this, which i can happily say we're 80% done!
